We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a proven ability to manage and streamline financial processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Manage and oversee the accounts payable function, including processing invoices, coordinating payments, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor bills.
- Review and approve payment batches and vendor reconciliations.
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to vendor accounts.
Accounts Receivable:
- Supervise the accounts receivable function, including the generation and distribution of invoices, collection of payments, and management of customer accounts.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Implement and maintain effective credit control procedures.
General Ledger:
- Oversee the general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial statements.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure professional development and effective performance.
- Coordinate with other departments to address financial issues and improve processes.
- Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and file necessary tax returns and reports.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
