Oversees the accounting department's operations including tax compliance, inventory management, and addressing Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Letters of Authority (LOA), and other Audit related concerns. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing inventory processes, and coordinating responses to regulatory inquiries and audits. Plays critical role in maintaining compliance with tax regulations, managing inventory processes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis - assisted in the operation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with PFRS.
Compile financial data and generated reports for management review and analysis.- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports and disclosures.
Tax Compliance - manage tax compliance activities, including preparation and filing of tax returns
- Inventory Management - oversee inventory management processes, including inventory tracking, valuation, and reconciliation within the accounting area.
BIR LOA and Audit Responses - coordinated and prepared responses to BIR Letters of Authority (LOA) and inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely submission of requested documents and information.- Liaises with BIR representatives during Audits or examinations, providing support and information to address audit findings and resolve issues.
Month-end and Year-end Close - assisted in the review and analysis of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Internal Controls and Compliance - assisted in maintaining and enhancing internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulations.
General Ledger Management - oversee general ledger activities, including chart of accounts maintenance, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliations.- Regulatory Compliance - ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and requirements related to financial reporting, tax filings, and other accounting matters.
Supervision and Training - assisted in evaluating staff performance and providing feedback for professional development. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, support and training as needed.
- Process Improvement - streamline accounting processes and workflows to improve productivity and accuracy.
Perform other duties as assigned by management, including assisting with special projects and providing support to other members of the finance team as needed.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
CPA certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role
Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (PFRS)- Proficiency in Accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity- Willing to work in Paraaque
