The role of the project-based Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Operator will serve for the entire duration of the Project cycle assigned to them (with possibility for extension should the need arise). The position will form part of the Project Implementation Team reporting to the Head of Rail AFCS Operations
- Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Responsible for producing CAD drawings during the design phase of the Project (i.e., preliminary and final design phases) as well as post-implementation phase, particularly the submission for review and approval of the As-Built drawings (where applicable).
- Works with the Project Implementation Team in capturing comments, revisions, amendments to submitted CAD drawings and reflecting them in the latest updated submittals.
Pays close attention to detailed requirements and specifications and reflect them in the CAD drawings accordingly, based on instructions from the Rail AFCS Manager and/or other team members working on the designs.- Interfaces with the Document Controller and the PMO Team in the timely submission, monitoring and tracking of all CAD-related submittals and the archiving of final approved designs and drawings during the entire project cycle.
May be assigned to other CAD Operator projects within the contract period should the current assigned projects are put on hold due to unforeseen delays and extensions

- Education and Work Background
College graduate (or equivalent technical/vocational degree) of any Engineering or design-based disciplines (e.g., architecture)
- Prior or related experience in project-related work, especially production of CAD drawings would be an advantage.
