Playbook is the best all-in-one software platform for sports, youth, and community businesses. We help business owners manage their organizations through registration, scheduling, and payment tools.
We are looking for a Wordpress Developer to join the Playbook team to work on Website integration. You will be responsible for owning much of the development of our core applications, handling onboarding Wordpress sites on AWS architecture, Install Plug-Ins in Wordpress, building Heroku apps and following documentation to add configuration variables, and managing Wordpress site maintenance on AWS architecture, including guarding against malware. You will partner with our product team, design team, and marketing team and will be responsible for developing sound technical solutions that will allow us to scale the business as we grow.
Tasks, Duties, Responsibilities
- Handle onboarding with our AWS architecture and framework.
Own the plug-in integration process.- Construct Heroku applications and adhere to documentation when adding configuration variables.
Take ownership of projects from framework to implementation and deployment.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies
- Mastery of Python preferred
Experience working on AWS- Experience working with Wordpress back-end
Experience working with growth and product teams to meet business needs
- Proven engineering skills and strong CS fundamentals
Good understanding of database schemas and queries- Demonstrated instincts around building delightful user experiences, and ability to balance iteration speed with quality
