Duties and Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
- Convert wireframes and mockups into functional web pages.
- Ensure responsive design for optimal viewing on various devices and screen sizes.
- Develop and integrate front-end and back-end components, APIs, and databases.
- Implement content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Optimize web pages for performance, including fast loading times and smooth user interactions.
- Conduct regular tests and debugging to ensure the functionality and quality of web applications.
- Monitor and improve website security to protect against vulnerabilities and threats.
- Work closely with designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to clients and team members.
- Perform regular updates and maintenance on existing websites and applications.
- Address and resolve technical issues and bugs reported by users or identified through monitoring.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Ensure that web applications are user-friendly and accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.
- Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to enhance user experience.
- Implement best practices for web accessibility.
- Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Web Developer, with a portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks.
- Experience with back-end technologies and databases.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
