A warehouseman is an individual who is responsible for preparing products for shipment. The job description of a packer includes the following tasks:
- Examining products to ensure that they meet quality standards of the products and ensuring that they have the barcode or reference number correctly.
Counting and comparing the quantity of items in the system on the computer to secure the number of ordered items are complete before packing.- Operating packaging equipment such as tape dispensers, cutter knives, bubble wrap and plain wrap.
Packing of items according to specifications, includes selecting the appropriate packaging materials.
- Attach the precise waybill and seal the parcel for shipping.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Education: high school diploma or equivalent- Physical ability: The job can be physically demanding and may require standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks.
Attention to detail: Packagers must ensure that products are packaged according to specifications and labeled correctly.
- Good communication skills: Packagers may need to communicate with supervisors, team leaders or team members to coordinate work and ensure that production targets are met.
Basic computer skills: packers must have basic computer knowledge to use computerized systems for order fulfillment and waybill printing.- Safety consciousness: Packer jobs can involve working with hazardous materials or operating machinery. Workers must follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Flexibility: Packer jobs may require working in shifts, including weekends and holidays, and may involve overtime or extended work hours during peak seasons.
