Warehouseman

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Warehouseman is responsible in orchestrating all warehousing processes and activities (receiving, product custodianship, warehouse transfer, issuance, returns, retrieval, delivery and shipping) to ensure warehousing efficiency and high level of records integrity. Coordinates all warehouse and delivery/shipping activities both internally (Customer Service, Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Finance and all end-user departments) and externally (PEZA, Customs, Third Party Logistics Service Providers, forwarders, couriers, etc.).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Loads and unloads inbound and outbound shipments safely and efficiently stacking these in the appropriate areas. Reports quality variances if any.

Pulls and prepares product for shipment safely and efficiently, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.

• Maintains the facility's equipment, machineries and area clean and orderly performing daily inspection and maintenance.

Keeps appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.

• Conducts weekly cycle count and scheduled physical inventories and ensures proper stock rotation.

Ensures all receiving, transfer, shipment and other warehouse/delivery transactions are done on time.

• Receiving/Put-Away: Unloads inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.

Quality: Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.

• Order Picking: Pulls and prepares product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Performs picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.

Loading: Efficiently moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trucks or containers.

• Equipment: Loads, unloads, moves, stacks, and stages product and materials using a reach truck/forklift, hand pallet truck, or other power equipment. Uses radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put away, and load functions, as required. Maintains the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspects and performs minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment. Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.

Inventory: Keeps appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assists in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation.

• Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety. Complies with OSHA and MSDS Standards.

Maintenance: Performs or assists in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required

• Authority to hold delivery in case of observed risk on goods to be delivered and escalate to Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor for final disposition.

Participates in collegial planning for policies, procedures and systems, problem solving and performance monitoring through participation in standing and ad hoc committees, task forces and project teams.

• Performs such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane or related to and / or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Mandatory Competency Assessment and Certification by TESDA/ TESDA accredited training and assessment institute in compliance with RA 11058

At least one year manufacturing industry experience in warehouseman capacity
