The Warehouse Supervisor shall be responsible in managing and overseeing all warehouse activities, ensuring efficient processes and maximize warehouse productivity. More so, s/he shall supervise the warehouse staff, coordinate logistical processes, ensure the quality of materials and prepare relevant documentation. Specifically, below are the main deliverables of the Warehouse Supervisor:
- Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company and its branches
- Monitors the completeness and readiness of stocks needed by Production to fulfill the orders of the clients
- Coordinates with the Central Warehouse and Purchasing to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain
- Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain
- Analyzes the order trends to create operational forecasts and warehouse plans
- Prepares, updates, and coordinates the manpower schedule of the Warehouse Team according to the orders of the clients
- Handles the selection, orientation, and training of all personnel assigned to the Warehouse Team
- Prepares and submits manpower requisitions to HR, as needed
- Evaluates the work performance of all personnel who are under the supervision of this position
- Ensures targets on fill rate and hit rate are achieved
- Analyzes and resolves bottle-necks in the company's warehousing system
- Suggests and implements process improvements to improve efficiency, increase profitability, and meet the quality and food safety standards of the company
- Reports any breakage or loss of equipment or supplies assigned to the Supply Chain Department
- Investigates and responds to Incident Reports issued to any personnel under the Supply Chain Department
- Prepares stock requisition for any supplies or equipment needed by the Supply Chain Department
- Participates as a member of the product development and launching team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials
- Represents the Supply Chain Department during ManCom meetings, Strategic Business Planning, and other inter- department discussions
- Performs other tasks, duties, or assignments that may be assigned by Management
Job requirements
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Food Safety
- Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment, tools, and techniques
- Knowledge of department policies, procedures, and practices with the ability to answer work-related questions, and/or interpret and apply these guidelines correctly in various situations
- Ability to devise or modify methods or processes to solve specific problems
- Ability to coach and mentor others to improve their skills and effectiveness, as needed by their role and responsibilities in the company
