WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR- This position is responsible for the organization of logistics operations to ensure the customers satisfactions and efficient planning to attain departmental business target. It also deals with developments and enforcement of departmental policies, systems and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises the quality, quantity and cost efficiency of logistics operations
Coordinates and control the order cycle and related processes- Manages employees according to growing work demands
Work objectives setting
- Training and resolution of staff issues
Disciplinary behaviour of logistics staff- Coordination of manpower effort on project implementation
Implementation of health and safety procedures
- Develops and implements the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Develops and implements the Good Warehousing Practices (GWP)- Develops and implements the Inventory Management Program (IMP)
Develops and implements the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Develops the technical skills and professional behaviours of employees
Develops effective distribution plans- Develops and implements new and improve guidelines to achieve departmental expectations
Negotiates with customers and suppliers on issues related to effective transport and delivery commitments.
- Oversees the fleet preventive maintenance schedule (PMS) and repair
Analyses logistical problems and proposes relevant solutions including data to monitor quality performance and departmental improvements.- Conducts departmental training and seminars
Prepares and justify departmental budget and operating expenses
- Monitors the attainment of employees key result area (KRA) and key performance indicators (KPI)
Responsible in developing fully staffed and trained team that provides effective organizational capabilities and depth- Ensures compliance to safety procedures, company policies and procedures and the company's code of discipline
Other tasks as may be assigned by immediate head
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering/ Accountancy/ Logistics Management or any related course.
Applicants must be willing to work in the City of Manila- With good communication (oral & written) and people skills
With at least 2-3 years supervisory or management experience and with significant knowledge and expertise in logistics, inventory management planning, control & systems application, plus, inventory forecasting
- With working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint
