Job SummaryWe are seeking a diligent and efficient Warehouse Staff member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse activities, including the receiving, storing, and distribution of goods. This role is essential in maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Receiving and Inspection:- Unload shipments and inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
Verify received items against purchase orders and shipping documents.Inventory Management:
Organize and store inventory in designated locations to optimize space and accessibility.
- Conduct regular stock checks and update inventory records to reflect accurate stock levels.
Order Fulfillment:
- Pick and pack products according to order specifications.
Prepare and label shipments for dispatch, ensuring all orders are accurate and complete.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.- Report any safety hazards or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Equipment Operation:- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Follow operational procedures for the use of equipment and machinery.Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and warehouse procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow guidelines for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.
Experience:- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [weight limit]) and perform physical tasks.
Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
