We are seeking Vulnerability Remediation Engineers for both first and second shifts. The successful candidates will be responsible for handling vulnerability notifications from third-party sources and supporting the prioritization and remediation processes. Proficiency in Rapid7 and Armis is required, and experience with BitSight is recommended.
Responsibilities:
- Vulnerability Management:
- Receive and analyze vulnerability notifications from third parties.
- Utilize Rapid7 and Armis to assess vulnerabilities and execute remediation tasks.
- Prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity, impact, and the potential risk to the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure timely and effective remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Communication:
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver reports on vulnerability findings and remediation progress to senior management and relevant teams.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to improve security posture based on analysis findings.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work alongside security analysts, network engineers, and software developers to orchestrate and implement remediation strategies.
- Support the development and refinement of vulnerability management policies and procedures.
- Engage in proactive security review and risk analysis to anticipate and mitigate potential threats.
- Tool Proficiency:
- Operate and manage security tools such as Rapid7, Armis, and BitSight to monitor and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Enhance tool configurations for optimal performance and accuracy of vulnerability detection.
- Participate in the evaluation and integration of new security technologies and tools.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience with Rapid7 and Armis; familiarity with BitSight is a plus.
- Ability to analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities for remediation.
- Knowledge of network security protocols, cryptography, and application security.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
