Navigating the position: Visual Communication Designer
We are looking for a talented Visual Communication Designer to join our team and drive impactful visual storytelling. Working closely with the Design department and Product Managers, you will play a key role in bringing our product experience strategy to life through engaging visuals. This role involves creating graphics, illustrations, animations, and presentations that communicate complex ideas clearly and cohesively, enhancing the overall product and brand experience.

Your Voyage Ahead- Collaboration
- Work closely with designers and subject matter experts to understand project objectives and communication needs.
- Collaborate within a cross-functional production team to drive effective outcomes.
- Asset Creation
- Develop a variety of visual assets, including custom designs, curated library elements, and AI-generated visuals.
- Maintain visual consistency across all materials, adhering to design system guidelines.
- Optimize visuals for different devices and screen sizes, ensuring user accessibility.
- Deliverables: Static images, icons, animations, interactive elements.
- Video Editing
- Edit videos for embedding in presentations or demoing products at various design stages.
- Support rapid production with visiontypes in collaboration with UX designers.
- Deliverables: Internal rapid-production videos and polished customer-facing videos.
- Design Optimization
- Keep up with design trends and technology advancements, sharing insights with the design team.
- Create intuitive video content for presentations and identify design improvements pre-production.
- Outcomes: Enhanced workflow efficiency and higher production quality.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure accuracy and relevance of all assets, particularly for specialized visuals (e.g., vessel types).
- Outcome: Minimize errors, reducing the quality assurance load on engineering teams.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
- Proven experience as a Visual Communication Designer with a portfolio showcasing strong digital presentation skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and animation tools
- Solid understanding of visual design principles, including typography, color theory, and composition
- Experience designing for diverse audiences and ensuring accessibility standards are met
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively

- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma/FigJam
- Advanced knowledge of embedding assets in MS PowerPoint
- Experience with motion graphics and video editing
