Job Description

A Remote Legal & Administrative Assistant to assist a foreign attorney & law firm with various administrative tasks. This is a remote work-from-home position.

Job Responsibilities may vary depending on your skills and experience. You will be assisting with various tasks, including:

ADMINISTRATIVE:
  • Answer phone calls
Assist with client intake; correspondence, scheduling client appointments, and follow-up with clients and other parties
  • Assist with the research, calendaring, case management, documents preparation, document formatting, and drafting of basic correspondence.
OTHER: Other tasks assigned on an as-needed basis

System Requirements:
  • You will be given access to software to manage all aspects of your job. Duties are performed in a noise-free home office, using personal computer equipment.
Have a good working pc/laptop, dual/external monitor, and a noise-canceling headset to ensure the quality of calls that will be made.
  • Work from a quiet, noise-free home office. There must be NO noise from children, pets/dogs, other people around, etc. during working hours. We have a zero noise tolerance.
High speed, reliable wired Internet connection at home is a must.
  • Must be able to respond right away when emailed during business hours
Available via Zoom video conferences during work hours when needed. All daily work meetings are conducted via video-conferencing (Google Meet or Zoom).

Work Schedule:
  • We will have a trial period to see if you are a good fit for this position. The job is full-time with extended hours, remote work from home.
The work schedule is on the US Central Standard Time (CST): 8 AM- 6 PM CST, Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays from 8 AM to 2PM CST.

Essential Skills:
  • Native-like English language
Ability to work independently, use time efficiently, and ability to learn new material specific to our law firm and areas of practice.
  • Very organized with the ability to balance multiple tasks and competing priorities
Work well under pressure and have a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong client-relationship skills as well as the ability to use judgment, tact, discretion, and keep the information confidential
Displaying professional communication via phone and email.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's or an advanced degree from a University.
High level of experience in Windows OS, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat DC (pdf)
  • Detail-oriented and a high level of accuracy in work product
Good time management and task management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meticulously.
