Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Virtual Video Editor to join our team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality video content that aligns with our brand and marketing objectives. Your expertise in video editing software, attention to detail, and creative flair will play a key role in bringing our visual storytelling to life and engaging our audience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements, goals, and objectives, and translate them into compelling and engaging video content
- Edit raw footage, audio, and graphics to create polished and professional videos for various platforms, including social media, websites, and marketing campaigns
- Utilize video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve to assemble video clips, trim footage, add transitions, effects, and animations, and enhance audio quality
- Incorporate branding elements, logos, and visual assets into video content, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and visual standards
- Enhance video content with graphics, text overlays, captions, and other visual elements to convey key messages, highlight features, and engage viewers
- Collaborate with content creators, designers, and other team members to develop creative concepts, storyboards, and scripts for video projects
- Ensure technical quality and compliance with video production standards, including resolution, aspect ratio, file formats, and compression settings, for optimal playback and distribution
- Manage and organize video assets, project files, and media libraries, ensuring accessibility, version control, and efficient workflow management
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in video production and editing, and proactively integrate new techniques and tools into our workflow
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines, while maintaining high standards of quality and creativity
Requirements
- Proven experience in video editing roles, with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing skills, creativity, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, as well as familiarity with audio editing software and graphic design tools
- Strong understanding of video production techniques, visual storytelling, and editing principles, with the ability to craft engaging narratives and compelling visual sequences
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to review and refine video content for accuracy, consistency, and quality
- Creative mindset with the ability to think visually and conceptually, and translate ideas and concepts into effective video content
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with team members and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver on objectives
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in film, media production, visual arts, or a related field is preferred
- Availability to work during US business hours, with flexibility to accommodate occasional meetings, deadlines, or project revisions outside of standard hours
