The Vascular Technologist performs non-invasive diagnostic tests to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound examinations, explaining procedures and answering any questions.
Perform vascular ultrasound procedures, including carotid duplex, arterial duplex, venous duplex, abdominal vascular studies, and other related exams.- Obtain accurate measurements and images of the vascular structures and blood flow.
Analyze data and prepare preliminary reports for review by physicians.
- Review physician's request form before proceeding with the examination
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.- Maintain accurate patient records, including test results, in accordance with hospital policies and regulations.
Job Qualification:- Bachelor's degree, Professional License (Passes Board / Bar/ Professional Licensure Exam), Nursing, Medical Technology, Radiologic Technology
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or equivalent certification
- With 1-2 years experience in hospital or medical facility ancillary unit
Must be adept in using hospital systems/ business tools- Has the ability to perform a complete and satisfactory echocardiographic examination; should know basic anatomy, physiology and hemodynamics in reference to cardiovascular system
Knowledgeable on the basic principles of ultrasound, echocardiography and Doppler
- Has the ability to relate well with patients, Doctors/ Medical Staffs and colleagues
