Job Summary: The Utility and Security Officer is responsible for performing general utility and maintenance tasks within the warehouse while also ensuring the safety and security of the facility. This role is crucial in maintaining operational efficiency and safeguarding company assets through a combination of hands-on maintenance work and vigilant security measures.
- Utility and Maintenance Duties:
Perform routine maintenance tasks including minor repairs to equipment, fixtures, and facilities.- Monitor and address issues related to warehouse utilities such as lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance and utility work.
Coordinate with external service providers for more complex repairs or upgrades as necessary.- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and alarm systems, to ensure the safety of the warehouse.- Conduct regular patrols of the warehouse premises to deter and detect unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
Enforce security protocols, including checking identification and managing access points to the facility.
- Respond to security incidents, alarms, or emergencies, taking appropriate action and notifying relevant authorities as needed.
Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and any maintenance issues observed during patrols.
