Navigating the position: User Researcher
We are looking for a UX Researcher to join our team and work closely with the Design department and Product Managers. In this role, you'll be responsible for planning and conducting research to explore design concepts, validate assumptions, and test prototypes, all aimed at enhancing our product's user experience. You'll analyze research findings to provide valuable design and development insights and will play an essential role in making data-driven recommendations. By developing a deep understanding of our products, you will help ensure they are intuitive and effective, delivering an outstanding experience for our users. Your Voyage Ahead:
- Plan and structure research initiatives, including usability testing, to evaluate design effectiveness.
- Conduct research using methods like interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather user insights.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including research setup, discussion guides, recruitment, and analysis.
- Document research scope, plan, and collect notes to build our research repository.
- Analyze research data to identify user behaviors, pain points, and needs, synthesizing findings into actionable insights.
- Map user stories and journeys to validate assumptions and commercial requirements.
- Create insights artifacts like affinity maps and insight boards for team understanding.
- Summarize insights into engaging reports and presentations, supporting user-centered design decisions.
- Work with stakeholders to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to prioritize research opportunities and scale new product offerings.
- Present research findings to internal teams and clients, sharing the rationale behind design choices.
- Share knowledge and insights to democratize research findings across the organization.
Recommended to bring on board:
- Professional background with experience in collaborative team environments.
- Strong empathy and professionalism when working with high-profile customers.
- Skilled in note-taking and active listening.
- Proficient in research techniques, user testing, UX heuristics, and data analysis.
- Experience with tools like Dovetail or similar for research organization and analysis.
