DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process payroll for multiple clients accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and issue paychecks to client employees.
  • Calculate and pay all required withholding taxes.
  • File quarterly returns with relevant federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Manage and pay unemployment taxes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of payroll transactions.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to client inquiries promptly.
  • Perform minimal general bookkeeping tasks including data entry, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements for clients.
  • Stay current with changes in payroll laws and bookkeeping best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be highly proficient in Quickbooks Desktop. Certification preferred.
  • At least 2 - 5 years of proven experience in providing US payroll services, including paycheck. processing, withholding tax payments, filing returns, and managing unemployment tax.
  • Solid understanding of payroll legislation and regulations.
  • Competency in basic bookkeeping.
  • Must be willing to grow within the company.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate and high quality work.
