DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all aspects of the accrual accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, manual journal entry preparation, and financial reporting.
  • Manage the fixed asset accounting process, including the capitalization of assets and the calculation and recording of depreciation on a timely basis.
  • Oversee the capitalization of prepaid expenses and ensure they are systematically amortized over their useful life.
  • Perform month-end closing procedures to ensure all financial information is reported accurately and on time, including bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Record and report gross AND NET HEALTHCARE revenue accurately, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Address and resolve client queries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Process for payment and record client vendor invoices on a weekly basis, ensuring all payments are made accurately and within set time frames, using bill pay software such as Ramp, Bill.com, Mercury Bank, etc.
  • Handle payroll processing, financial reporting, reconciliation
  • Assist with historical accounting clean-up procedures
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with US accounting firms or in private accounting.
  • Proven experience in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles.
  • Understanding of payroll accounting and related financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Bill.com or Ramp (or similar tools).
  • Experience using Gusto, Rippling, Justworks, or any similar tools for payroll processing.
  • WIth excellent communication skills

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with healthcare revenue accounting.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite.
  • QBO Certification.
  • CPA
  • Additional experience with bill pay and payroll processing.
