DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of the accrual accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, manual journal entry preparation, and financial reporting.
- Manage the fixed asset accounting process, including the capitalization of assets and the calculation and recording of depreciation on a timely basis.
- Oversee the capitalization of prepaid expenses and ensure they are systematically amortized over their useful life.
- Perform month-end closing procedures to ensure all financial information is reported accurately and on time, including bank and credit card reconciliations
- Record and report gross AND NET HEALTHCARE revenue accurately, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Address and resolve client queries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Process for payment and record client vendor invoices on a weekly basis, ensuring all payments are made accurately and within set time frames, using bill pay software such as Ramp, Bill.com, Mercury Bank, etc.
- Handle payroll processing, financial reporting, reconciliation
- Assist with historical accounting clean-up procedures
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience working with US accounting firms or in private accounting.
- Proven experience in the preparation of financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles.
- Understanding of payroll accounting and related financial reporting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Bill.com or Ramp (or similar tools).
- Experience using Gusto, Rippling, Justworks, or any similar tools for payroll processing.
- WIth excellent communication skills
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with healthcare revenue accounting.
- Familiarity with NetSuite.
- QBO Certification.
- CPA
- Additional experience with bill pay and payroll processing.
