Responsible for providing highly accurate and reliable service by operating ultrasound equipment in a proficient manner in order to obtain diagnostic images that will be used in the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of diseases.
- Assists, registers, queues, verifies information of the patient who will undergo ultrasound procedures.
Ensures that signed waiver/consent will be secured from the patient.- Checks, cleans, and maintains the ultrasound machine and recommends repair or replacement of the defective machine.
Positions and prepares patients by explaining the purpose of the procedures and conducts review of patients medical history.
- Operates the ultrasound machine to obtain quality images.
Adjusts and corrects settings of ultrasound equipment.- Prints and records the result and maintains patients confidence by keeping information confidential.
Submits results to the Physician for reading and evaluation. Assists the Physician in interpreting and assessing the result.
- Monitors inventory of the medical instruments and office supplies and recommends replenishment of the items.
Prepares and submits reports of all patients seen and examined according to the set turn-around time.
