DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manages and oversees the department and subordinates to ensure effective completion of their responsibilities.
Establishes work standards, performance measures, goals and objectives- Assigns deliverables/tasks to subordinates
Evaluates work performance, tracks and reviews work progress of subordinates
- Provides direction and guidance
Coaches, counsels and motivates subordinates- Recommends personnel action/movement
Interviews prospective employees for the department and recommends hiring
- Conducts job orientation and technical trainings
Identifies and recommends training program/seminar for staff development- Issues and implements disciplinary actions as needed in concurrence with the Immediate Superior
Manages the cash flow, inflows and outflows of cash and facilitates funding requests from creditor banks or investors/owners.
- Oversees the security and safety of company valuables such as cash or Post-Dated Checks, and other securities and accountable forms.
Monitors the opening of Current Accounts with the bank under established Company and Bank policies.- Supervises the releasing of all checks (loan proceeds, placement and loan payable, expenses, commission and incentives, etc.).
Reviews and performs parallel checking of all treasury reports such as Daily Collection Remittance Report (DCRR), Cashier's Report, Deposited Check Report, Bounced Check Report, Daily Branch Report, and report for opening of Current Accounts.
- Reviews daily bank balance and Cash Position Report (CPR) to ensure proper funding, requests for Pin Mailer and Cash Cards, Provisional Receipts, Check Booklets and supplies.
Prepares the following:- Schedule of placement and loan payable maturities
Secretary's Certificate and Board Resolution
- Creditor's Bank Promissory Note
Monthly Releases Report- Monthly Collection Report
Cash Flow Report
- Addresses complaints, requests and inquiries of loan borrower / client such as payment transactions/records, loan application, and coordinates with bank, collection agency, branch or other concerned party for resolution of complaint / request.
Recommends policies that would effectively safeguard the resources of the company- Recommends waiving of penalties/charges associated with bank error or other error during processing of loan renewal applications
Ensures that company cash, checks and valuables are safely kept and secured in the treasury vault
- Handles the vault combination and ensures its confidentiality
Represents the Treasury Department during Management Committee Meeting- Performs other work-related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)- With at least four (4) years professional experience in Treasury or Accounting, two (2) years of which is in managerial capacity
Has strong knowledge of cash handling systems and processes
- Has the ability to evaluate and formulate policies and procedures, exercise judgment, and implement approved policies.
Detail-oriented, precise and meticulous when preparing documentation- With strong mathematical and analytical skills, planning and organizational skills
