What will your role be:
The ideal candidate should have a deep passion for travel, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the smooth coordination and execution of travel arrangements for our employees. You will be managing the travel arrangement of our staff, including flight bookings, hotel reservations, ground transportation, and other related services. Industry knowledge will be essential in optimising travel itineraries and providing cost-effective solutions. Will serve as a reliable point of contact for employees, addressing travel-related inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Travel Arrangements:
Coordinate and book flights, accommodations, and ground transportation according to employees itineraries.
Booking of interstate travel in Australia
International bookings (Philippines, China, UK etc)
Utilise relevant tools to search for and secure the best available travel options, considering cost, convenience, and company policies.
Ensure compliance with travel regulations, visa requirements, and health and safety guidelines.
- Travel Policy Compliance:
Familiarise yourself with Expo Centric's travel policy and communicate it effectively to employees.
Ensure that all travel bookings align with the established policies and guidelines.
Monitor and track travel expenses to ensure compliance and cost control.
- Vendor Management:
Source and manage vendors for our travel requirements.
Establish and maintain relationships with travel vendors, including airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, and travel management companies.
Negotiate favourable rates, discounts, and contracts with vendors to ensure cost savings and preferred services for Expo Centric.
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in travel services and providers.
- Travel Documentation and Administration:
Assist employees with travel-related documentation, such as visa applications, passport renewals, and travel insurance.
Maintain accurate records of travel bookings, expenses, and traveller profiles
Prepare and distribute travel itineraries, including e-tickets, hotel vouchers, and other relevant documents.
- Problem Solving and Crisis Management:
Address and resolve travel-related issues, such as flight delays, cancellations, and changes in travel plans.
Provide timely assistance during emergencies, including natural disasters, medical emergencies, or political unrest, by coordinating alternative travel arrangements and ensuring traveller safety.
- Accreditation and Licences:
Familiarise yourself with the specific requirements and criteria set by IATA for accreditation.
Ensure that Expo Centric meets the eligibility criteria set by IATA
Handle and Manage Expo Centric's accreditation and Licence for IATA.
Gather and organise the necessary documentation for the accreditation application.

Key Skills:
Mandatory Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in travel management, hospitality, or related field.
Proven experience as a travel agent
With IATA Certification is a PLUS
In-depth knowledge of domestic and international travel procedures, including visas, passports, and travel regulations.
Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple travel requests simultaneously.
Proficiency in travel booking systems, including the IATA platform and other GDS (Global Distribution Systems).
Attention to detail and accuracy in managing travel arrangements and expenses.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changes in travel plans.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and travel management software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Well versed with AITA Accreditation
