Transmission Equipment Technical Specialist

Overview

Transmission equipment team's responsibilities include but not limited to IPRAN network planning, design and construction, OTN network planning, design and construction, new technology pilot project and so on

Functions and Responsibilities

1. Participate project matters related to transmission equipment, such as IPRAN, OTN, access OTN, etc.

2. Transmission equipment vendor management, ensuring that the project status being normally, monitor and ensure the project going smoothly, including but not limited to project budget control, project progress and project quality.

3. Evaluate the behalf of project partners related to transmission equipment projects.

4. Cooperate with other departments (e.g., data center/wireless/core planning and construction team, procurement department, O&M department, etc.)

5. Review transmission equipment related project's design drawing, analysis Purchase Order status, equipment delivery status and so on. Analysis the weakness of transmission equipment's network and propose the solution to improve.

6. Other tasks.

Employment Standards

1. Ensure the stability and normal operation capability of the vendors

2. Ensure all the key objectives being accomplished, including but not limited to financial targets, asset handover to O&M, budget control, Purchase Order control, network related indicator (e.g., access ring ratio) etc.

3. Keep documents such as technical specification, management procedure updated and aligned with latest requirements.

4. Review annual network planning

Job Skills & Qualifications

Basic knowledge of transmission equipment such as IPRAN, OTN, access OTN and so on.

Good team communication skills and project management capability.

Ability to use software for daily work
