Major Function:
The Warehouse Manager (Transition) is responsible for ensuring business compliance with customer requirements and operational standards during the acquisition of new customers. This role is critical in facilitating the alignment of warehouse processes, training, and the effective implementation of Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Execution:
- Develop and map operational transition functions to align with organizational objectives.
- Create comprehensive plans to meet internal and external client expectations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Team Organization & Resource Management:
- Define and allocate roles and responsibilities within the team to achieve operational and organizational goals.
- Communicate task schedules and expectations clearly to the team, ensuring alignment with transition plans.
- Identify necessary resources, proactively address potential delays, and ensure the successful completion of transition goals.
Leadership & Development:
- Provide clear direction and guidance to the team to meet daily tasks and performance targets.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions to enhance individual performance and motivate the team.
- Promote teamwork and morale through recognition, training, and regular team interactions.
- Develop Career Development Plans (CDP) for high-potential employees and implement a succession planning strategy.
Operational Oversight & Compliance:
- Ensure that the department adheres to HR policies and procedures, maintaining productivity and legal compliance.
- Monitor and control departmental expenses to stay within the approved budget.
- Assess the need for reimbursements and provide appropriate justifications to senior management.
Technical & Process Transition:
- Lead the implementation of business rules, warehouse processes, and safety protocols within the transition framework.
- Develop and align transition plans with Business Development, Support, and Operations teams.
- Conduct culture audits and process evaluations to ensure smooth integration during the transition.
Customer Engagement:
- Ensure customer requirements and expectations are met throughout the transition process.
- Address customer issues and concerns in a timely manner using a structured follow-up process, ensuring satisfaction during the transition.
People Development & Transition:
- Assist with implementing the Succession Planning Program, identifying high-potential employees and supporting CDP creation.
- Support remote work arrangements as part of the new normal, ensuring smooth transitions for employees.
Financial & Resource Management:
- Efficiently manage financial resources to support transition goals and objectives.
- Prioritize projects that align with organizational goals, ensuring optimal use of available resources such as manpower, machinery, and supplies.
- Review and approve financial documentation, including cost analysis and reports.
Job Qualifications Summary:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields; 5+ years in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Transition & Change Management Expertise: Proven experience managing customer transitions and leading change management efforts during operational process changes or system implementations.
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS): Expertise in WMS integration and hands-on experience with logistics technologies during customer transitions.
- Leadership & Project Management: Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in project planning, execution, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Customer Focus & Communication Skills: Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills for managing stakeholder expectations, resolving concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
