- Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect tire casings for defects, such as holes and tears.
Seal punctures in tubeless tires by inserting adhesive material and expanding rubber plugs into punctures, using hand tools.
- Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed.
Clean sides of whitewall tires.- Drive automobiles or service trucks to industrial sites in order to provide services, and respond to emergency calls.
Identify and inflate tires correctly for the size and ply.
- Order replacements for tires and tubes.
Apply rubber cement to buffed tire casings prior to the vulcanization process.
- Highschool or vocational / trade school graduate would be an advantage
Good communication skills.- Proven work experience as a tire technician.
Attention to detail.
- Extensive knowledge of tire patterns and material composition.
Ability to lift heavy objects.- Ability to work in a crouched or standing position for extended periods.
