Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for testing our e-commerce platform ComAve (comave.com). As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform by designing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions to our customers.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of our e-commerce platform.
- Conduct manual and automated testing of web applications, APIs, and database integrations to identify defects and ensure compliance with functional requirements.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate them into test cases and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives, to provide input on testing strategies and priorities.
- Perform regression testing to validate software changes and ensure backward compatibility with existing features and functionalities.
- Document test results, defects, and issues in a clear and concise manner, and work with development teams to prioritize and resolve identified issues.
- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of testing activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software testing, quality assurance, and e-commerce technologies, and proactively apply this knowledge to drive improvements in our testing practices.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Test Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer in an e-commerce and web application development environment.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test automation tools, and defect tracking systems.
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for web applications, APIs, and database systems.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and identify root causes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and version control systems (Git) is a plus.
