Telehandler Operator

Job Summary:

The Telehandler Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a telehandler to move materials, load and unload goods, and assist with construction or industrial tasks. The operator must ensure the machine is in good working order and that all safety protocols are followed.

• Key Responsibilities:

Operate Telehandler Equipment: Safely operate the telehandler to move, lift, and position materials according to project requirements.

• Material Handling: Load and unload materials from trucks, transport materials to storage areas, and position materials at job sites.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the safe operation of the telehandler.

Maintenance Checks: Perform daily pre-operation checks, routine maintenance, and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor. Ensure the telehandler is clean, properly lubricated, and in good working condition.Site Assistance: Assist with other tasks on the job site as needed, such as rigging materials, securing loads, and general labor.

• Documentation: Maintain records of work performed, including load movements, maintenance logs, and safety checks.

Communication: Coordinate with site supervisors, crane operators, and other personnel to ensure smooth operation and material handling.

Adherence to Site Plans: Follow instructions and site plans accurately to ensure materials are delivered and placed correctly.

• Qualifications

: With TESDA National Certificate (NC II) in Heavy Equipment Operation or equivalent.

• With 3-5 years of experience operating a telehandler or similar equipment in a construction or industrial environment.

With Professional driver's license with the appropriate restriction code.

• Completed Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) or Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) training.

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.

• Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail in operating equipment and handling materials.
