Your Role:

As a Sales Development Representative, you will primarily focus on qualifying and nurturing inbound led opportunities while also generating leads through outbound prospecting efforts. You will be responsible for identifying potential customers, generating new business opportunities, and managing leads through the sales pipeline. You will collaborate with internal teams to implement effective lead-generation techniques and contribute to the overall growth and success of the sales department.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Coordination & Allocation
  • Responsible for lead qualification, lead enrichment, and triage of inbound leads
  • Oversee and manage the centralized lead coordination process to ensure inbound inquiry channels are actively managed with leads correctly allocated under the correct sales territories and partners.
  • Qualify and book demo/sales appointments off the back of follow-up phone calls or emails to coordinate meeting availability.
  • Work closely with the lead gen team to ensure the success of lead generation campaigns is maximized and supported.
  • Identify potential customers through various channels including but not limited to cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach.
  • Generate new business opportunities by effectively communicating the value proposition of Optus products and services to prospective clients.
  • Manage leads through the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and nurturing to progress leads toward closure.
  • Utilise uCRM and Salesforce to track and maintain accurate records of leads, activities, and sales progress.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Lead Generation
  • Generate new business opportunities through professional, dedicated prospecting via warm calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach.
  • Drive uptake and higher response rates across events/webinar registrations, insights surveys & content marketing through phone follow-up.
  • Nurture warm prospects previously engaged through webinars, events, content downloads, or marketing-led campaigns to opportunity.
  • Re-activate and re-engage un-converted lead opportunities with win-back campaigns.
  • Engage warm lead prospects generated by marketing and lead gen campaigns and make first contact with those accounts to generate interest - such as leveraging survey engagement, whitepaper, and webinar opportunities.
  • Maintain an accurate record of all activities and account information in uCRM and strategically follow up with prospects.
  • Develop and nurture connections/relationships with prospects by phone or email
What You Need:

Non-negotiables

  • 3 years in Telco Business-to-Business Sales Development, Business Development, Account Development, or Sales
  • Lead generation experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (MS Teams, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience in Salesforce, Tableau, LinkedIn Sales Nav, and ZoomInfo
Preferred skills
  • Self-motivated, driven and a desire to meet and exceed performance goals
  • High energy and positive can-do attitude
  • An interest in mobility, ICT, and emerging SaaS technologies
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with senior-level executives
