Overall Job Purpose
Responsible for performing of service operations (inspections), defined assembly operations, and maintenance repairs with the highest level of quality and efficiency. Promote brand image through reliable and cost-efficient work, precisely maintenance repairs and accessory retrofits while maintaining the value of customer's vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
Service Reception / Work Preparation
- Performs on-board diagnosis as part of the primary & secondly diagnosis
- Road Tests with customers to confirm primary diagnosis and completes RFT form with service advisor .
- Accepts workshop order and checking the contents for completeness.
- Registers all accumulated processing times.
- Uses various checklists during vehicle reception, which make it possible to check and document proper performance of the individual work steps.
Repair / Maintenance
- Must be competent using the workshop DMS (training will be provided)
- Joining workshop meeting
- Research workshop information and checking it for up-to-date and quality
- PDI on any new model (Level 3 and 4 Only).
- Communication with JLR technical team (Level 3 and 4 Only).
- Quality checks technicians level 1 & 2 work
- Responsible for Pathfinder and SDD diagnostic software updates
- Diagnosing electrical repairs if necessary, using PScope
- Report any new equipment required for the workplace.
- Carries out electronic vehicle health check (eVHC) within the DMS system.
- Performs all maintenance services in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and in line with the maintenance schedules.
- Recognizes deviations or unusual wears and initiating add-on work / providing feedback to the Team Leader
- Fully understand the warranty policy and procedures and able to guide other technicians with warranty
- Ability to audit other technicians warranty job card processes
- Documents performed work and returning the workshop order.
- Prepares part for return if it has to be returned for reconditioning, or returning it to customer.
- Responsibility to keep customer vehicles clean.
- Passes vehicle on and cleaning up the workplace
- Participates in product update and training qualification courses provided by the Training Department.

- Achievement of quality targets (e.g. First Time Fix)

- Team meeting with Aftersales manager
- Technician competence (supporting the Service Manager)
- Technician engagement and satisfaction (measured through technician turnover)
Process
- Process delivery and compliance (e.g. health and safety, quality control)
Customers
- Achievement of customer satisfaction targets (e.g. scores on relevant CLP questions)
- Number of customer complaints
