Job Purpose
Collaborate with our digital product owners and business unit counterparts to create great user stories, provide customer-centric insights on the why behind features, and articulate acceptance criteria at the right level to allow the team to design the best solutions. You will work with the technical teams to fully explore the business logic and technology, while documenting detailed technical solutions with air-tight diagrams, inspired wireframes (leveraging the UX/UI team), and clear descriptions. You will work with our QA, infrastructure, digital marketing teams, and business units to ensure that what we make is high quality, scalable, and frictionless for customers. You will coordinate with other business analysts to blend the needs of multiple business units into elegant solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Excellent skill in eliciting, documenting, managing, and interpreting business requirements. This includes understanding user needs and translating them into technical specifications.
- Familiarity with web technology, frameworks, and IT systems and platforms
- Should be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, UAT testers, and other business stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct interviews, workshops, and other methods to gain deep understanding of business processes and business needs.
- Ability to document process maps.
- Knowledge of user interface design principles and user-centric design processes
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
- Ability to drive change through influence and collaboration and able to effectively manage relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex data, systems, and business processes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Appreciation for design thinking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis and product management, information technology experience in an enterprise setting is a plus and minimum 1 year of basic project management experience.
- Must have programming or coding experience because this will enable the candidate to be able to effectively draft technical specifications documents.
- Must have experience in drafting tech specs documents.
- Must have worked on mobile apps/app dev and cloud technologies.
- Must have good communication skills.
Job Competencies
- Experience with agile development methodologies and story point estimation (DAD or SAFe experience a plus)
- Meeting facilitation skills and ability to collaborate effectively with participants from all levels of the organization.
- Superior communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience using analytics software to evaluate and analyze user behaviors.
- Business-to-business or complex product experience preferred.
- Experience with formal product roadmap prioritization methods a plus.
- International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) CBAP a plus
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification a plus
