A Technical Support Engineer/Field
Engineer
helps resolve technical issues within different components of computer systems. This may include software, hardware, and other network-related internet problems.
Technical support engineers are highly skilled in fixing technical problems, including network configuration and account setup. They provide prompt solutions to address customer complaints through on-site support.
A technical support engineer provides enterprise-level support to customers.
Ability to conduct research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues with client satisfaction in mind.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot both ethernet and fiber optic network issues, including connectivity problems, hardware failures, and software issues.
Attend pre-arranged schedules for onsite troubleshooting.- Coordinate with other technical teams, including the network operations center (NOC) and technical support teams, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Provide detailed and informative documentation of all issues encountered for data gathering.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards while working onsite.
Manage a variety of complaints from clients located in different areas.
- SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or any related field.
Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
Understanding the physical and logical infrastructure of ethernet and fiber optic networks.
Ability to work in various environments, especially indoor settings and confined spaces.
