- Job Summary:
The Field Technician Engineer role at an IoT company specializing in smart locker solutions involves providing on-site technical assistance, maintenance, and repair services for hardware and IoT devices. The technician will ensure optimal functionality of smart locker systems, troubleshoot issues, and deliver excellent customer service. This position requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently in the field.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- 1. On-Site Technical Support:
Install, configure, and maintain smart locker systems at customer sites.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve hardware and software issues.
Conduct routine maintenance and preventive measures to ensure system reliability.
Respond promptly to service calls and customer inquiries, providing professional and courteous support.- Educate customers on the proper use and maintenance of smart locker systems.
Maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and follow-up.
- 3. System Upgrades and Modifications:
Implement hardware and software upgrades to enhance system performance and functionality.
- Work with the engineering team to apply modifications and improvements to existing installations.
Document changes and updates accurately for future reference.
- 4. Inventory and Parts Management:
Manage inventory of spare parts and tools necessary for fieldwork.- Ensure proper tracking and documentation of parts usage and replenishment.
Coordinate with the supply chain team to order necessary components.
- 5. Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of service activities, including work orders, service reports, and customer feedback.
- Provide regular updates to the technical support team and management on service activities and issues.
Assist in the development of technical documentation and training materials.
- 6. Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing fieldwork.- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay current with industry best practices.
Associate degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineer, Computer Engineer IT, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of Ubuntu
Has experience working with Arduino or embedded systems and other electronics competent.
Strong technical knowledge of hardware systems and IoT devices.- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php18,000.00 - Php20,000.00 per month
