QUALIFICATIONS:- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College degree in Civil Engineering or any equivalent
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical concepts- Flexibility to work extended hours as needed
Excellent interpersonal skills
- Safety focus and attention to detail
With at least 5 years work experience in materials testing or construction- Current industry certifications for materials testing is a plus
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Check and certify laboratory test results- Supervise Laboratory Technician
Oversight and implementation of the department growth and business development strategies
- Handing department level hiring, terminations, performance reviews and professional development plans
Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management- Responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects
Assist with training and mentoring of junior staff, as needed
