Position: Technical Purchasing Officer (Maritime)
Location: Manila

Schedule: Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
Functional Role and Job Requirements
Support the overall procurement and business strategy set by Technical Purchasing Management.
Maintain and further develop positive, performance-driven relationships between vessels and Technical Purchasing.
Continuously improve service quality and productivity levels and share best practices across the purchasing team.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure the availability of items and smooth operation onboard vessels and rigs.
Identify alternative sources of materials for obsolete requirements, ensuring quality meets standard specifications.
Evaluate and improve supplier selection with a total landed cost mindset: deliver the right goods in the fastest and most economical way to minimize vessel daily running costs without jeopardizing operations.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the organization meets the 5Rs: Right product, Right place, Right prices, Right quantity, and Right time.
Evaluate and decide on the mode of transportation, considering Total Landed Cost: deliver the right goods in the fastest and most economical way to help maintain vessel daily running costs at a minimum level and maximize rig uptime.
Required Competencies
At least 2 years of forwarding/purchasing experience in the shipping industry or 4 years of purchasing experience in another industry.
Bachelors degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering.
Strong negotiation, communication, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Good understanding of the international supply chain.
Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
