The Technical Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing various types of projects (e.g., 10Q/K Review, Technical Memorandum write-up, Conversion of Financial Statements to/from U.S. GAAP and IFRS, etc.) depending on the needs of his/her assigned engagement.
The Technical Accounting Manager is a leader who works closely with the Senior Manager/Director by helping with the operational responsibility of handling clients, people, and processes.
The Technical Accounting Manager will supervise all assigned Supervisors/staff and be responsible for mentoring/coaching them and assisting them in their growth path.
The Technical Accounting Manager is required and expected to exercise leadership skills and demonstrate total competence and experience in helping his/her Senior Manager/Director and the team as they manage to achieve the overall growth of Scrubbed, the attainment of its mission and vision, aligned with its values, and culture. All these are to be performed with utmost honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple project delivery teams by cultivating and fostering long-term client relationships
- Manage engagements and workflow of all client deliverables for multiple clients and engagements
- Identify and resolve accounting and technical issues impacting the engagement
- Must always be updated on technical accounting developments and issues
- Demonstrate ability to lead, conduct future team learnings, and recommend process improvements
- Determine and approve staffing and other resource needs, and related engagement work schedules
- Review engagement work papers and related deliverables to ensure that quality and professional standards are met
- Delegate assignments to supervisors considering their skills, development needs, schedule, and engagement economics
- Conduct or review research on complex or new accounting and financial reporting issues and prepare memorandums to support solutions
- Develop less experienced professionals by providing formal performance feedback, career counseling, and mentoring to those below the manager
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities
- Attend internal inquiries/consultations, article write-up for FasTalks, prepare firmwide training materials and assessment and facilitation of training
- And other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications
- With Audit Managerial experience from Big4/other accounting firms.
- Bachelor's Degree is required; Major in Accountancy
- CPA Certification is a must.
- Other certification/s are a plus.
- Ability to explain complex financial data in clear, straightforward language
- Ability to apply knowledge in both IFRS and U.S. GAAP
- Ability to work with other service lines and groups (i.e. Tax, accounting, audit)
- Develop and demonstrate independent thoughts and leadership ideas that can further enhance our drive toward operational and service excellence

Requirements
- Has at least 5 years of audit experience with at least a year of managerial experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication and comprehension both formally and informally.
- Has IFRS/US GAAP experience.
