The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax related decisions and activities in the organization. You will help us stay tax-compliant and up-to-date on new tax laws.
Responsibilities
- Oversee overall regulatory compliance, including adherence to BIR, SEC, and other relevant agencies.
- Ensure the accurate and timely filing of all tax returns and compliance/reporting requirements.
- Manage ongoing tax assessments by liaising with BIR officials, submitting documentation, and drafting response letters.
- Lead and supervise a team of tax accountants, focusing on workload distribution, training, and professional development.
- Provide strategic advice on the tax implications of company practices, policies, and transactions.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and enhance tax processes.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to address tax-related concerns and inquiries effectively.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports to department heads and management.
- Serve as the primary contact for all tax-related inquiries and issues.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance
- with years of professional tax experience
- Strong communication and analytical skills
