WHAT IS THE JOB LIKE
Coordinate with Business Unit Controllers in the tax audit process/es and procedure/s initiated by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR):
- Review and submit documents, schedules and other reports of Business Units transmitted to the BIR;
- Assist in the preparation of pertinent tax audit schedules and workpapers;
- Manage the timely submission of documents, schedules and other reports to the BIR; and
- Upon finalization, ensure the payment of assessments on time.
Liaise with BIR personnel regarding tax audits/assessments of the Business Units and other regulatory tax requirements:
- Schedule meetings with BIR personnel and discuss pending tax audits;
- Receive BIR issuances and notices in behalf of the Business Units; and
- Manage deadline of submission of documents, schedules and other reports.
Prepare internal reports for the monitoring and administration of tax assessments and pending tax audits:
- Timely submission of management reports and monitoring schedules; and
- Preparation of value-adding analyses for sound management direction regarding tax-related matters.
- Maintain docket of transmittals/submissions to the BIR and BIR issuances and notices.
WHO ARE YOU
- Certified Public Accountant
- Bar Passer
- Experience in tax-related audits (i.e. discussions with the Bureau of Internal Revenue)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Organized and Detail-Oriented
