The Tax Lead will provide technical excellence and quality assurance on tasks undertaken by subordinates. They will ensure subordinates follow appropriate application of processes and use of systems to deliver the client work requirements. Also, to lead the delivery of high-quality technical client work requirements and ensure the high technical performance of staff within a diverse team of accounting professionals.
About the Role
The Technical Lead is responsible for designing and implementing tests, analysis and defining corrective actions and tracking quality assurance metrics.
- Work with key stakeholders to develop and mature the organisations approach to Technical Excellence and Quality Assurance of Australian Tax services
- Proactively ensure compliance with organisation wider risk, quality, and assurance frameworks
- Provide the first level of review service for the Client to ensure technical excellence, quality and job requirement is met
- Liaise with external stakeholders and Bentleys to ensure all technical queries are answered and work expectations are met
- In collaboration with the Operations & Performance Manager, contribute to/conduct performance appraisal of sub-ordinates as and when required
- Identify training requirements and develop suitable training programs to ensure staff are qualified and competent in delivering their work.
- Assist in the successful implementation of process and system changes to subordinates
- Performance Management of staff to ensure technical quality work is delivered on time
- Assist Client Services Managers with staff technical performance and issues as and when required.
- Provide business technical reporting to Management as an when required

- Minimum 4 years of Australian tax accounting experience
- Has a dedicated focus to technical ability and quality assurance
- Is a competent leader - is able to influence and lead technical teams to deliver quality service on time and within budget
- Develops a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of tools and systems and processes and is able to apply, and utilise resources to apply them
- Develops an understanding of the Bentleys technical and quality business requirements and develops an understanding of the Bentleys client base to the extent required to be able to anticipate problems/ barriers,
- Is skilled at facilitating in a technical forum
- Has effective verbal communication skills
- Refining their skills, knowledge and expertise as a specialist in an identified technical field and / or industry.
- Is a competent project manager - can plan, manage and deliver quality service on time and within budget.
- Projects confidence and credibility in dealing with stakeholders
