Job Description

The Drawing Board

RedDoorz Finance team is on a mission to make RedDoorz the most trusted brand technology-driven hotel management & booking platform.

The Grind

  • Ensures timely filing and payment of all corporate monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns and supporting schedules and reliefs which includes, among others, Value Added tax, withholding tax, Income tax, Final Tax, DST and other returns that arise.
  • Coordinates renewal of business permits to liaison in charge.
  • Ensures compliance to BIR's tax mapping requirements.
  • Provides assistance in handling of BIR examinations and other special projects, if any.
  • Responsible for the response to the letter of notices from the BIR, SSS, PHIC, HDMF and LGUs, if any.
  • Reviews tax accounts and proposes entries to correct balances of tax accounts.
  • Coordinates with Corporate Secretary and/or Company lawyers for legal compliances if needed.
  • Reviews agreements to identify possible tax issues and recommends options to eliminate or at least minimize the risk, if any.
  • Handles tax accounting, including the preparation and/or review of group reporting packages (tax), deferred tax asset, and uncertain tax position analyses.
  • Handles tax queries from clients, suppliers, and Management regarding tax treatments.
  • Assists the Finance Manager during annual audit of financial statements.
  • Oversees the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and information return on transactions with related parties when required.
  • Conducts tax compliance review on a regular basis and communicates the gaps noted including relevant recommendation.
  • Shares tax updates internally and provides tax advice on a plethora of tax issues raised by both operations and support groups. Ensures that tax regulations and policies are implemented, monitored and documented.
  • Performs other tax related tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Finance Manager or Regional Finance Leader.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes and procedures.

  • Strong leadership. Can understand the reality of the company and each department's needs.
  • Good communication skills to involve other departments and external partners.

The Fundamentals

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy.
  • Must have relevant experience on Philippine taxation and government compliance.
  • Certified Public Accountant or having any certifications relevant to the job is an advantage.
  • Candidate should have experience specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
  • Min 2 years of experience with General Ledger is preferred.
  • Experience in SAP accounting system or any accounting software is a plus.
  • Agreeable to a Hybrid work arrangement.
