Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible in tax reporting and compliance
- Assist in external & internal audits as well as statutory audit
Specific Responsibilities
Tax Reporting and Legal
- Reconciles and prepares the following tax returns and computes tax liabilities prior to payment and electronic filing in EFPS:
- Value Added Tax VAT
- Withholding taxes (compensation, expanded and final tax)
- Fringe Benefit Tax FBT
- Other tax reports and listings
- Corporate Income Tax
- Documentary stamp tax
- Annual registration fee
- E-submission of tax listings such as monthly alphalist, input VAT & output VAT
- Assist in responding and taking action on letters received from BIR, LOAs, Tax Mapping and government regulatory agencies for queries and assessments
- Initiates processing of new and renewal application of business permit for all locations and related documents such as barangay clearance etc.
- Process tax clearance and other related tax documents
- Assist in annual business permit and other local regulatory requirements
- Files and maintains tax and legal documents and other financial records to ensure completeness and orderliness based on established guidelines on filing system
- Assist in legal document request related to corporate secretary and other bidding requirements of business units.
- Perform reconciliation, testing the reasonableness of booked transactions vs. tax.
- Assist in adhoc activities VAT refund application, tax health review and other tax projects
Other Tasks
- Complies with the QHSE policies including but not limited to:
- Demonstrates strong commitment to SGS QHSE Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions by participating in safety meetings, completing required training, intervening in unsafe situations, refusing unsafe work, and complying fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to QHSE.
- Responds appropriately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace.
- Maintain a safe and tidy worksite.
- Maintains awareness of hazards and proposes controls to supervisor, QHSE Representatives or relevant client / site contact.
- Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management.
Qualifications
- Graduate of BS Accountancy or its equivalent, preferably CPA
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Finance / Accounting, focused in Tax
- Must be updated with tax regulations
- Fresh Graduates with CPA are welcome to apply
