Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, providing tax updates to management and clients, and monitoring permits and registrations with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). This role also involves assisting in tax planning, preparing projections on revenues, expenses, and taxes, and acting as the point person for external audits.
  • Job Description & Responsibilities:
Generate reports from the accounting system for preparing and filing various tax returns for internal (Onward) and client needs.
  • Monitor and provide tax updates to management and clients.
Assist and coordinate with clients and internal management for any tax disputes.
  • Monitor necessary permits and registrations with the BIR.
Act as the point person for external audits and lead the preparation of Audited Financial Statements (Internal - Onward).
  • Prepare tax returns and reports on a timely basis (monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.).
Maintain records, analyze and research complex tax issues.
  • Review tax computations to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws in the Philippines.
Analyze tax regulations and recommend policies to minimize tax burden.
  • Conduct training and provide timely updates on new tax/compliance regulations/standards.
Advise management on the impact of new tax laws/provisions/regulations.
  • Coordinate, negotiate, and provide support during tax audits.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting entries for tax filing.
  • Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work.
Process BIR registration and update company information.
  • Perform tax planning and projections to manage taxes effectively.
  • Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business with an emphasis in Taxation, or any related field
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
At least 3-5 years of working experience in tax accounting, reconciliation, and BIR assessments
  • Experience handling engagements/audits with BIR
Knowledge in the preparation of all tax filings and reporting in compliance with BIR
  • Keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and flexibility/adaptability
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with leadership potential
Experience in tax compliance is an advantage
