As an AU Tax Accountant, your responsibilities are:
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements by accounting standards
- Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed
- Prepare management accounts
- Help identify accounting issues
- Apply basic Australian tax compliance procedures
- Assist with Australian tax planning for clients
- Prepare Australian income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts
- Complete requisite regulatory forms
- Complies with the lodgement program by meeting lodgement dates and requirements
- Analyse financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities.
- Delegate and review the work as necessary to ensure completion with a focus on the development
Qualifications:
- Business / Commerce degree with an Accounting major
- Commencement of CPA or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in Australian tax accounting (non-negotiable)
- Preferably with Xero experience
- Strong communication skills
