Under the supervision of the Systems Administrator Team Lead/Supervisor, this key position is responsible for maintaining the computerized systems and their information technology hardware components within the organization. These activities include, but are not limited to, building of servers, administration of user access to the servers, configuration of Network Services used by the company (i.e. Email, File Server, DNS, HTTP, FTP, proxy ...). This person is responsible for addressing issues raised with regards to the services that the individual is responsible for, in close coordination with senior members. The incumbent is expected to assist in various activities/programs of the department.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides hardware/software modifications, developments, and/or updates, and basic network system modifications/updates to designated system to enhance their operations.
- Provides UNIX/ Linux/ Microsoft programming/scripting to correct and modify user's environment.
Responds to system failures and basic and routine computer, network, or server problems, to bring back to functioning levels of operation.- Maintains and contributes on writing user documentation/manuals and operational procedures of basic and routine software applications to ensure standardized guide is available and updated.
Coordinates with development teams to schedule releases of software updates.
- Assists in deploying software on staging and production environments in compliance with Software Change Management protocols to meet the agreed Service Level Agreements.
Serves as frontline resource on basic hardware and software problems to identify root cause of issues and applicable resolution, in consultation with senior members.- Monitors system logs and activity of all servers and devices to ensure users compliance with existing policies and procedures, and timely address potential threats.
Works as directed regarding security concerns such as but not limited to security systems/password/file protection to ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures and ISO requirements.
- Maintains a broad knowledge of operating systems, scripting languages and hardware to keep abreast with technological advancement.
Assists in providing relevant training to stakeholders to ensure transfer of knowledge.
Bachelor's Degree preferably related to Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering.- At least 1 year of work experience related to systems administration.
At least 1 year relevant and related experience in BPO industry is an advantage
