Senior Analyst Programmer is responsible for delivering quality software development and maintenance services per the Group's Software Development Life Cycle standard. The role performs high-complexity software development work under the direction of Immediate Lead and/or Application Services Manager, such as major enhancements to a specific module of a core system, or the development of a new system.
The challenge is to:
- Assists in managing junior programmers in developing and maintaining application software. This includes coaching and conducts knowledge training to members to adhere to the coding standards and methodologies.
- Ensures that the programs developed and enhanced are tested, and maintained per the Group's Software Development Life Cycle.
- Ensures that programs delivered operate according to functional and non-technical specifications.
- Reviews new and/or enhanced programs before SIT, or UAT to verify consistency and conformance with established coding standards and ensure that it has no defects before rollout.
- Conduct performance tuning of programs to meet the performance criteria as set out in the Technical Design Specifications (TDS).
- Directly coordinates with Business Systems Analysts / Business Process Designers /Project Managers for matters related to program changes.
- Provides support to users during the QA, SIT, and UAT period.
- Prepare the documentation required for the change requests and provides demo and KT of the changes to other developers and support who will do the rollout to production.
- Provide escalation support to Production Support teams to assists in the investigation and resolution of critical issues raised by the customers.
- Assigned as the Software Configuration Manager role for projects to maintain effective control over the software versioning
- Participate in regular and ad-hoc client management meetings. Keeps his/her supervisor and management appraised of the progress of assigned projects and status of any problems on a regular basis.
Do you have experience in
- At least 5 years of experience as a System Analyst
- Proficiency in computer concepts and functionalities.
- Deep understanding and knowledge in Systems Analysis and Design.
- Advance understanding on Client-Server Architecture.
- Proficiency with actual work experience in using:
- Oracle PL/SQL development for Packages, Procedures, and Functions
- Oracle Forms/Reports Development using Oracle Developer Suite
- Oracle Application Server
- Oracle DB
- Knowledgeable in UNIX/Linux and has hands-on experience in shell scripting.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365.
- Excellent knowledge and ability to perform functional analysis and investigation in Oracle merchandising application or other retail applications.
- Designing and implementing java-based application using JAVA SE and/or JAVA EE is an advantage.
- Experience in handling AWS / GCP services is an advantage.
