• PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and administer existing servers, physical and virtual, ensuring proper provisioning, availability, effectiveness, and security
a. Domain Controllers / Active Directory
b. Email Server
c. Sophos UTM / Firewall
d. Messaging Server (Spark)
e. File Server and other storage server

• Manage and administer the local domain and Active Directory, including user and computer accounts for logons, emails, and messaging system, ensuring they are updated and secured.

Manage and administer implemented security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus solution, and other related intrusion prevention systems, to guarantee against unwanted internal and external threats.

• Function as first and second level technical support for the entire organization, and to external partners when necessary. Task also entails possible visits to ports and stations outside of Head Office.

Familiarize himself with application systems being used by the organization and provide support for the maintenance and upkeep of said systems.

• Familiarize himself with the Organization's IT infrastructure, as to be able to:

a. Review all existing laptops and desktops and see if they are according to IT standards (hostname, specs vs function, security, etc.);

b. Review Active Directory Users and Distribution lists and make sure it is updated and relevant.

• Evaluate requirements of users with regards to IT-related requisitions, and make recommendations on what to purchase, evaluating all possible vendor proposals.

Other IT-related duties and responsibilities may be required from time to time.
