Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Management:
- Collect and organise data related to GHG emissions from different departments, including energy consumption, transportation, waste management, and other relevant sources.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data collected for GHG emission inventories.
- Maintain and update the GHG emissions database and ensure data integrity.
- Complete client sustainability, safety and environment questionnaires and support Probe's response to client tenders.
- Oversee the documentation required to maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
GHG Emissions Reporting:
- Prepare and compile data for annual GHG emissions assessments and reports in accordance with established GHG reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14064).
- Develop and maintain documentation for GHG emission calculations, methodologies, and assumptions used in reporting.
- Support Probe's climate risk disclosure requirements.
Coordination and Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between the Sustainability Department and other departments to facilitate data collection and address any issues related to GHG emissions reporting.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including Facilities, IT, Operations, and Finance, to gather relevant data and ensure timely submission of information.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze GHG emissions data to identify trends, opportunities for reduction, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate data from internal safety and environment audits
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations on GHG emissions performance, progress towards sustainability goals, and compliance with regulations.
Compliance and Best Practices:
- Stay current on GHG regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure
- compliance and enhance reporting processes.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies for reducing GHG
- Emissions, environmental impact and achieving sustainability objectives.
- Support drafting of safety, environment and sustainability updates.
Administrative Support:
- Assist in the development of sustainability policies and procedures related to GHG emissions.
- Provide administrative support for sustainability initiatives, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and tracking project progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., LEED, GHG Inventory Quantifier) are a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in environmental sustainability, data analysis, or a related field. Experience with GHG emissions reporting and familiarity with relevant standards (GHG Protocol, ISO 14064) preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data management software. Knowledge of sustainability reporting tools and platforms is a plus.
