Role Description
A Sustainability Manager's responsibilities include monitoring and controlling an organization's plans, resources, and effects on the environment. They are in charge of spearheading programs to address resource conservation, waste management, energy use, and other issues that have an immediate influence on the environmental footprint of the business. Sustainability managers work closely with various departments to ensure that they are in line with the company's overarching sustainability vision. They also design executable plans with defined actions to attain sustainability goals.
- Establish short- and long-term goals for an organization to reduce environmental impact.
- Provide recommendations on ways to improve a company's sustainability.
- Work with suppliers and stakeholders to advance sustainable solution initiatives.
- Create training materials to support staff and lead sustainability demonstrations.
- Develop internal and external communications plans related to sustainability efforts.
- Keep records of all sustainability efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of related experience at the Managerial level.
- Experience in sustainability strategy development and implementation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and report on sustainability data
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Familiarity with relevant sustainability standards and best practices
- Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams is a plus
- Passionate about environmental sustainability and committed to making a positive impact.
- Must be willing to be assigned in Makati City Head Office.
