Make exact measurements, elevation, location including determining property boundaries. They need to provide survey data relevant to the shape, contour, location, elevation, or dimension of areas or features on the specific surface or elevation for engineering, as built, land evaluation, construction, and other purposes.
- PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or College Degree in Geodetic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent.
- Previous experience as Land Surveyor, Line and Grade Engineer, or equivalent.
Proficient in CAD software.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- GENERAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and maintain sketches, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed:
- Coordinate and verify reference prior to actual survey.
Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.- Provide proper care of Survey Instrument during and after survey activities.
- Direct or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles:
- Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
- Prepare proper documentation of Survey Report.
- Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys:
- Write descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in site documents.
Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.- Monitor Installation works to check if the workers comply based on the given data
- Coordinate with Project Manager the survey records:
- Discuss to site team the survey records to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed.
Coordinate the survey findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects.
- Adjust surveying instruments to maintain their accuracy.
- Establish fixed points in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments:
- Train assistants and helpers and direct their work to such activities as performing surveys or drafting maps.
- Analyze Survey Objectives and Specifications:
- Prepare survey proposals or to direct others in survey proposal preparation.
Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features. Develop criteria for survey methods and procedures.
- Locate and mark sites selected for Surveying Activities:
- Locate back sites and reference with coordination to the survey consultant.
Confirmed if the reference is correct and approved.
