Role Overview
The Project Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and advancing the organization's supply chain initiatives. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing supply chain strategies that ensure efficient and effective flow of goods and services. The Project Supply Chain Manager will work closely with internal teams and external partners to manage procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution processes.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy Development
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with project goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes and workflows.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Procurement and Vendor Management
- Manage procurement activities and vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to optimize costs and quality.
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
Logistics and Inventory Control
- Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
- Optimize inventory management processes to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Implement strategies to improve supply chain visibility and traceability.
Continuous Improvement and Risk Management
- Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance and resilience.
- Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to track supply chain performance.
Experience & Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management or related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in supply chain planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve supply chain goals.
- Knowledge of supply chain best practices and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
