QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Significant experience in asset management, logistics, or supply chain.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills to manage departments/teams effectively and drive operational excellence.
Communication: Excellent communication skills for coordinating with various stakeholders and managing subordinates.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected challenges.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of fleet, yard, and warehouse safety regulations and maintenance practices.
Technical Skills: Expertise with fleet maintenance/management SOP, equipment, parts, warehousing, and software for tracking assets.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Oversee the proper execution of the following: Truck Maintenance/Repairs
- Maintenance schedules for routine check-ups and major repairs;
- Mechanics and external repair services (CASA, 3rd party) to resolve any issues promptly;
- Records of all maintenance and repair activities for each unit;
- Monitor and control repair costs and timely procurement of necessary parts.
Yard or Site Management
- Daily operations and housekeeping of the yard/site;
- Allocation of space for truck units and repair equipment, making sure the layout maximizes space;
- Enforcement of site safety regulations to prevent accidents compliant with health and safety standards.
- Coordination with various transport teams to facilitate seamless site operations.
Warehouse Operations
- Management of the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods in the warehouse;
- Implementation of inventory management systems to track stock levels;
- Supervised warehouse personnel and provided training to improve productivity and safety awareness.
Truck Inspection
- Implementation of pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck units to identify any potential issues:
- All critical components are thoroughly examined.
- Report and documentation of any defects or issues.
- Latest regulations and standards update for vehicle inspections and compliance.
